The NZ Mens Water Polo team in conjunction with the Water Polo Institute under the direction of NZ Mens head coach – Kurt Goldsworthy and various NZ Mens Players (including centre-forward Dan Jackson) - will offer a water polo holiday programme based at the Sacred Heart Aquatic Centre during the first week of the holidays from Tuesday to Thursday October 11^th to 13^th.

Group A is for Year 7 and 8 players and introductory athletes. This is ideal for those preparing to participate in year 7 and 8 water polo programmes in Term 4. This programme will run from 8.40am to 2pm on Tuesday and Wednesday and from 8.40am to 12pm on Thursday.

Group B is for Year 9 & 10 athletes and advanced year 7 & 8 players. This is ideal for those preparing to participate in college sport water polo programmes in Term 4. This programme will run from 10.10am to 3.30pm on Tuesday and Wednesday and from 12pm to 3.30pm on Thursday.

Please note: year 7 & 8 players can apply for this programme but acceptance into this programme is NOT guaranteed. All positions will be confirmed upon selection by the WPI coaching staff prior to the camp. If you enrol in Group B camp and do not get selected for Group B a place may or may not be available for you in group A.

The camp is lnow full and no more positions are available.

The programme will cover essential ball skills and game play appropriate for the level of the two groups.

Participants should bring a water bottle and something to snack on during the morning/lunch break. It is also important that the athlete brings something for themselves to do during the break-a good book, games or puzzles are highly recommended. Athletes must notify staff at role call if they wish to leave the premises between sessions.

Each day will see the groups run as follows. 

GROUP A: Year 7 & 8 only

• Tuesday October 11^th and Wednesday 12^th Roll Call at 8.40am

Water sessions 9-10.30am and 12.30-2pm

Lecture 11.30am-12.15pm

• Thursday October 13^th – 8.40am Roll Call. Games ALL morning

Session of games 9am to 12pm

GROUP B: Year 9 & 10 and selected year 7 & 8

• Tuesday October 11^th and Wednesday 12^th Roll Call at 10.10am

Water sessions 10.30am-12pm and 2-3.30pm

Lecture 1pm to 1.45pm

• Thursday October 13^th – 12pm Roll Call. Games ALL afternoon

Session of Games 12.30-3.30pm
